VMWare (Server) GUI unresponsive while Browsing FAT drives

Hi.

I've installed VMWare Server 1.0.2 build-39867. I noticed VMWare hogs up CPU and the GUI gets busy for a long time when I browse, say, ISO images (for use with the primary CDROM drive, for instance) that are located on a FAT[32] filesystem. The GUI can stay unresponsive for as long as about one minute. I notice that whether I browse my local (hence fast) disk's FAT partitions or my (slower) USB drive.

Has anyone noticed the same problem? And is there a fix?
