|
|
Hi there.
I'm trying to send fax by using hsfmodel drivers and efax utility, without success. I have the following winmodem
Code: | lspci | grep -i modem
00:14.6 Modem: ATI Technologies Inc ATI SB400 - AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 02)
|
and hsfmodem drivers works OK for dial, but not for fax.
I'm using hsfmodem-7.60.00.01 and efax--0.9a (latest).
Here is the output of the efax utility when I'm trying to send a TIFF (1 page) file to a fax:
Code: | # efax -v chewmainrxtf -d/dev/modem -x /var/lock/LCK.modem -iZ '-i&FE0&D2S7=30' '-i&C0X3' -l' ' -kZ -h 'Test p. %d/%d' -t T4531 x.001

I tried several fax machines with the same results and for that reason I think that is something to do with the configuration of my server.
I think that the problem starts here:
Code: | ...
efax: 01:59 Error: timed out reading frame data
efax: 01:59 received 0 bytes:
efax: 01:59 received UNKNOWN
efax: 01:59 command "+FRH=3"
...
|
but I can not fix it.
Any suggestions ? |

Thanks in advance |

I got one step further from the above error by putting
Code: | TXCAP="-c 1,5,0,2,0,0,0,0" |
in ~/.efaxrc
Now the modem reports NO CARRIER when efax tries to dial... _________________ Please put [SOLVED] in your topic if you are a moron. |

Nice to see that this issue is still alive.
