I mount my Laptop with NFS and when i disconnect it a few things start to break.
"df" and "mount" freeze and also the Gnome-Desktop because i have a link to the Share on the Desktop.

Is there any way i could mount the NFS-Share differently to improve this Situation?
Something that would realize the Share is gone and say "Oops its not there anymore, ill disconnect it for you until it returns".
I guess this is pretty much the same Situation like with USB-Sticks, right?

You probably want autofs or submount.
