ALSA one day decided not to start, it got to initiating "snd-seq-oss" and stopped. I had to boot to LiveCD and disbale ALSA then boot. From there I am lost. Is there any reason I would need OSS emulation? If not, do I disable it through the kernel? _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

Are you using the alsa-driver from a 2.6.x kernel, or are you using the alsa-driver ebuild? (if you're using the ebuild, you have to re-emerge it evertime you recompile your kernel). |
