|

I'm running 2.6.7-r11 on a dual 2800MP system and the problem that I'm having is my adaptec 39320 scsi raid card with three drives attached to it in a raid 0 array will not show up as a device in Gentoo. When the system boots up it does not show any devices attached to the scsi bus. Yet when I remove the drives from the array they are then visible to Gentoo as sda, sdb and sdc. Is the hardware raid portion of the adaptec 39320 controller supported or is there something I'm missing? |

Use any 2.6.10 kernel.
I have just installed a Dell server with an Adaptec 39320.
And linux-2.6.10-rc2 from www.kernel.org allowed me to see the scsi drives.
None of 2.6.9 worked for me. _________________ Entropy rulz world.

I have the same problem. The only way I could get it to read my card at all was to use a 2.6.10 kernel... however, it doesn't read my raid array. (I get sda1,2,3, but the partitions won't mount, and FDISK complaines about the partitions extending onto another disk.
So, how do I get it to like my raid-0 array? _________________ --Mac

Use software RAID.
It is quite easy. _________________ Entropy rulz world.
