well I had proftpd configured and running just fine, then for one reason or another i have no clue why, it has dropped down to slow slow slow, it transfers a 200 byte file in around 24 seconds I need help its driving me nuts

I found the culprit... dns lookups adding these two lines to my config fixed my problem

UseReverseDNS off
IdentLookups off
