is there anyway that i can install a package that can handle all chars. i really want to be able to input korean chars chars as well as english. When checking out the www.unicode.org site, i tried the test pages for utf8. Many of the chars didnt show up, just a bunch of squares with little numbers and letters in them. Im looking for some tutorials or some help or a doggy bone on the subject and getting it going. By the way, the tutorial on tldp.org was no help for me. One more question, which packages are needed for displaying utf8 chars in gentoo. Man am i lost!

I've got no experience with this, but did you try the "cjk" USE flag?

Did you install the appropriate fonts?

Did you use +nls?

Did you use +cjk?

If yes to all, you may have discovered a bug.

right, i do have cjk and nls in my USE flags. but what would the font package be? i can view the katakana and kanji fonts on a unicode test file, but not thai or hebrew. not that i can read those langs anyways, i just want to have this thing setup correctly.
