For some reason weston fails here.
kwin is widely advertised on the net.
However kwin is rather RAM greedy.
gui-wm/labwc is a good competitor in this regard, i.e. gaining 40 Mb+.
Code: | cat /etc/sddm.conf.d/sddm.conf
[General]
...
DisplayServer=wayland
...
[Wayland]
...
CompositorCommand=labwc -C /usr/local/share/applications/sddm/labwc
#CompositorCommand=kwin_wayland --no-global-shortcuts --no-lockscreen --locale1
#CompositorCommand=kwin_wayland --drm --no-lockscreen --no-global-shortcuts --locale1
... |
-C /usr/local/share/applications/sddm/labwc directory is here to provide localized keyboard
Thks 4 ur attention, interest & support _________________ USE="-* ..." in /etc/portage/make.conf here, i.e. a countermeasure to portage implicit braces, belt & diaper paradigm

Moved from Desktop Environments to Documentation, Tips & Tricks.
It's one of these. _________________ Regards,

those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail. |
